Banshee

Basic Information:
When night falls, unlucky travelers hear the faint cries of the forlorn dead. This woeful spirit is a banshee, a spiteful creature formed from the spirit of a female elf. Banshees appear as luminous, wispy forms that vaguely recall their mortal features. A banshee's face is wreathed in a wild tangle of hair, its body clad in wispy rags that flutter and stream around it. A banshee, also known as a groaning spirit, or wailing ghost, is a female undead phantom, typically a selfish, strong-willed spirit that embodied the essence of hideousness. Oftentimes they are the spirits of elven women, whom in life had an evil alignment. A banshee doesn't have a defined shape, but rather a misty form with vague and flowing features that mirrors her former form in life. As time wears on, a banshee becomes more and more distorted, though is still recognizable as a humanoid.
